Recommendation for Libby:
"Kim and I wanted to thank you for the great job you and your team did in selling our home on Wapping Road. I was impressed at how professionally everything was handed and the respect you showed to the memories of almost 30 years. It was as though you knew the ambivalence we felt .I was trained as an attorney and I usually find it difficult to work with realtors on agreements. I compliment you on your knowledge of the law and a willingness to work with suggestions. There are always make or break issues that must be approached just right and you were able to do that. Another thing that impressed me was how hard you worked to make this deal work for everyone. I like to get answers night or day and any day of the week and that is the way you work. We will miss our home but I know the new owners will love it the way we did and make new memories with their family. It is truly a one of a kind property and you were able to market it that way. Thanks again Libby, -Kim and David Dunn"
"
Working with Libby Kirwin was terrific. She showed enthusiasm, professionalism and good judgment throughout the process. She worked hard to sell our property, paid attention to detail and simply went the extra mile to get the job done. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell in RI." - Jenny O'Shea
Libby Kirwin lives in Newport, Rhode Island where she was born and raised. Before deciding to settle in Newport, Libby explored several career paths with extensive travel opportunities throughout New England, Florida and the Caribbean. These experiences have lent tremendous value to her business approach and commitment to her clients.
Libby graduated from the esteemed Massachusetts College of Art with a degree in Graphic Design. Her passion for aesthetic, detail and design is evident to this day. Subsequent to her graduation, she worked in the Boston real estate market through 2000 and moved on to explore the mega-yacht sales industry, serving as a crew placement manager & broker's assistant for the International Yacht Collection.
In 2002, Kirwin called upon her graphic design & travel experience to create Jack and Josie's Coffee Lounge in Newport. After it's success, Libby sold the restaurant and returned to real estate full time. Libby was able to work for a variety of firms in the Newport area, gaining a solid grasp of the market and each firms approach to such business.
In March of 2009, Libby launched LKPM and subsequently, LKRE. Her mission was simple: blend her positive experiences from each firm, while supplementing with a fresh, modern take on the industry. She believes that in such a dynamic market, every client deserves the exclusive boutique approach.
Perfect Day in Newport?
"Watching my husband surf on a hot summer morning at 2nd beach while I walk with my dog, followed by lunch on an out door patio downtown on the harbor with ice cold oysters on the half shell and an evening cook out at Gooseberry Beach watching the sun go down with my family!"
